Antique clay marble with original hand-painted rings

This is an example of a hard-to-find, hand painted clay marble. It has two hand painted rings (pink and purple) that cross. Ringed marbles like this were typically placed on a rotating stand with the coloring agent applied with a brush.

This marble just passes through a 9/16-inch ring. It has two marks that may be touch marks from the firing process rather than hit marks.

This is a genuine antique clay marbles with original coloration. It is not to be confused with the fakes sometimes sold on ebay where a genuine antique clay marble have been hand-decorated with flowers and other designs using felt markers.
