This is a nice naturalistic design jam or mustard jar. It is quite unusual in that it features a design modeled on the test (shell) of a sea urchin with the interlocking plate design and ridges of little knobs upon which the urchins spines rest. The lid and porcelain spoon also feature a coral design and finial. It is highlighted in gold paint. It is unmarked but was most likely made in Germany or Bavaria between 1890 and 1910. It stands about about 3.5 inches (9 cm) tall.

It has no cracks chips or repairs, and its only detraction is a half inch (1.5 cm) craze line or spider line on the lid that is hard to see. It is rare for a spoon to a piece like this to have survived all its years.
