Civil War era D Evans Brass Buttons EXTRA with Oakleaf Shank

This pair of 1/2 inch diameter brass buttons were made by the D. Evans Co. of Attleboro, MA. Their backmark, two piece construction, gilt design, and hand soldered shank place their likely construction between 1855 and 1880. One has a speck of debris on the face that should clean off. They have wear but are attractive, and will be a nice addition to your collection.
