Yashica YEM-35 Super Hot Shoe Clip on CdS Camera Exposure Meter

Here is an often-used Yashica YEM-35 clip-on camera cadmium sulfide exposure meter. This example was attached by braided twine to the strap of a working Yashica Penta J camera, and so probably dates to the 1960s. It is missing its PX-13 battery, but PX-13 mercury-free replacement batteries are available on line (e.g. Wein Cell). The on-off switch slides back and forth. The leather case is in rough shape. There is a little corrosion in the compartment, but these light meters are remarkably hardy (Cadmium Sulfide sensors are just photo resisters). The Yashica battery cover alone is worth the price.
