Antique Fancy Bennington Pottery Marble 17/32 inch

This is a glossy Bennington marble that is just over 17/32 of an inch in diameter. It is a so-called "fancy" Bennington because it is multicolored. Bennington Marbles are glazed pottery marbles that were made principally before World War I. They got their name because they look like the ware of the Bennington factory in Vermont, but most were in fact made in Germany. This example is almost a peewee and it has an attractive calico appearance.
