1893 Columbia Exposition Worlds Fair Silverplate Spoon Fisheries

This is an old souvenir spoon for the 1893 Columbia Exposition. It features the Fisheries Building. The spoon is worn, has lost silver plate so some of the yellowish base metal is showing, and it has tarnish spots. A portion of the inscription on the handle is either worn or imperfectly formed. Despite these detractions, spoons featuring exhibits from the Colombian World's Fair in Chicago are hard to find, and it would be a nice addition to your collection.
