This is an old and attractive pink vase or urn with lion - dog handles. It is probably Chinese where the handle figures are known as Imperial Guardian Lions also called fu dogs or foo dogs. Foo dogs are also represented by the original Pekingese dogs. There is a possibility it could be Japanese, where these dog-lions are called Shisa a traditional Ryukyuan decoration. The vase has gold and silver luster highlights, and nice ribbon and ring details. It is likely to have been made before 1920, but could be a lot older.

The vase is in good condition with no cracks, chips, or repairs. It does, however, have overall crazing, and light staining. The vase or urn has a very narrow opening on the top. It wood look great on a shelf, or maybe with a sprig of dried flowers.
