This is a US Navy and War Department Aircraft Recognition Manual from April 1943, and includes the somewhat less commonly found supplement pages from November 1943. It shows aircraft from the US, Britain, Germany, China, and Japan, both in photographs (left pages), and silhouettes (right pages), and with other information on planes, including maximum speed, service speed, dimensions, and so forth.

It does not have the normal cover, and is instead bound by laces with the US Navy Air Craft tabs as covers, with no other divider tabs. The individual pages are marked "War Department FM30-30 / Navy Department Bauer 3" and "Restricted.". The regular pages are marked April 1943, and the supplement (at the front) are dated November 1943. There are about 106 leaves altogether, making about 212 pages total. The pages are about 10x6 inches (25x15cm).

It was used, has wear and tear, some minor tears along page edges and corners, a few dog ears, and a few pages inserted upside down, and some pages have writing. The pages are somewhat yellowed with age. All-in-all it was well used but has no serious problems. This item will be shipped via Media Mail.
