This an original 1970s era Asahi Opt. Company Super-Multi-Coated Takumar lens with a 135mm focal length and a f3.5 maximum aperture. It has the Pentax M42 universal screw mount and takes 49mm filters. It comes with the original Honeywell Pentax metal front cap and Asahi hard plastic screw-on end cap. It was in production from 1965 to 1971. There is some light wear on the body, but the glass is in great condition, with no scratches, fungus, mold, or haze. There are a few tiny specks of dust inside that you can see with a bright light, but these do not affect image quality. Focus and aperture work well (there is a manual auto switch), and the focus throw is a large 350 degrees. There are five variants of this lens, and the one with the full words "Super-Multi-Coated", is a four element optical design and one of the last versions, and on review sites it grades very high for sharpness, aberrations, bokeh, and handling. This is nice quality and very usable vintage lens.
