The G. Zuiko AUTO-W wide 28mm f/3.5 prime lens was introduced with the Olympus OM-1/M1 camera. It consists of 7 elements arranged in 7 groups with high resolving power and weighs 180g. It has a close focus of 1 ft (0.3m). It accepts 49mm threaded filters. The 'Auto' prefix in the lens name only refers to the automatic control of the six-blade iris, not automatic focusing. Focusing with the rubber focus ring is smooth, with a 90 degree throw. When focusing, the front lens does not rotate, but the lens lengthens slightly. It is small, pretty, and considered one of the best ZUIKO wide angle lens.
This example is in great shape with no scratches, fungus, haze, or other problems. The aperture is snappy. It was used but was well taken care of and is clean overall with only a few tiny specks of dust inside. Comes with the original case, rear cap, and lens hood. It adapts well to modern digital cameras as a sharp manual lens that does not require corrective optics, just an OM adapter.
