This is a vintage manual-focus Chinar 135mm f/2.8 lens with made for a vintage 35mm film camera with a PK mount. This lens comes with both front and rear caps. It was manufactured in Korea during the 1980s and distributed by Chinon-USA. The 6-bladed aperture is saw-tooth shaped at f4, but otherwise is a hexagon at smaller apertures. The lens is undamaged and functional, and the optics is free of fungus and scratches. In bright light, you can see the usual tiny dust specs, and the lens has light evidence of wear. There is no visible oil on the aperture blades, but when first tested, at about f16, the closing aperture lagged. Fluttering the back aperture lever made the aperture responsive. It stands 105 cm tall and weighs 435 grams with the caps. The minimum focus distance is 4.5 ft / 1.4 m, and the full-frame test image was taken at 51 inches on an EOS camera with APS-C sensor. The image shows the bokeh at 2.8, and the cropped inset shows the increased depth of field at f22. Vintage 135mm lenses do well adapted to modern digital cameras for both stills and videos and because of their long working distance are great for filming garden wildlife and doing portraits.
