Tools
With the start of the Industrial Revolution in the 1830s, steam powered factories began the mass-producing utilitarian household items, including tools. Although an antique tool might be said to be one that is more than a hundred years old, the term is often used to describe any old tool of quality that might be deemed collectable. There are many good modern reference books that will guide you on values. Reprints of old tool catalogs can help identify the manufacturer and the time of manufacture of a tool. Often tools will exhibit differences based on location of manufacture and time periods. On this page, various antique and collectable tools and implements are offered for sale.
