Antique Heavy Wood Mortar & Pestle, turned, Primitive Kitchen

This is an antique mortar and pestle. The mortar base is made of a very hard and very heavy (4.5 lbs!) dark wood (possibly ironwood?). It is about 6 inches in diameter and 6 inches tall and was turned, and there are three holes on the base where it was jammed against spikes for the turning. The pestle is also heavy and hard, weighs 1 1/4 lbs, and is slightly lighter in color, either from wear or because it is a different wood. It is 8 1/2 inches long. The age of something is very hard to pin down, but estimate it to be 100 years old, or maybe older. Put it to use or use it for display.
