1934 Sterling Silver Spoon King George Silver Jubilee Sheffield

This auction is a 1934 dated sterling silver spoon commemorating the 25th anniversary of King George V & Queen Mary on the throne, for the period 1910-1935. It is Hallmarked with the sterling mark (passant lion), the Sheffield, England township mark (crown), an 'r' in a shield date-mark (indicating 1934), the crown figurehead, and the makers mark (shield with initials TB&S). TB&S stands for Thomas Bradbury & Sons, a top notch silversmith firm from Sheffield, as illustrated by the excellent workmanship in this spoon. It is just under 5 1/2 inches long, and weighs 24.5 grams. It has light wear but can polished to a silvery mirror finish if you desire.
