Black Starr Gorham Vintage Sterling Silver Shell Dish 1 OzT

This hand wrought sterling (925) silver dish in the form of a scallop shell, and is marked Black, Starr and Gorham, which was a partnership between Black, Starr and Frost and the Gorham Manufacturing Company during the mid 20th century. It weighs 31.9 grams, which is just a bit over 1 Troy Ounce. It was used, and has wear and tarnish spotting, and could be buffed with silver polish if a more lustrous appearance desired. Its is roughly 2.5 inches square (6.5 x 7 cm) and is marked with the model 1748SX.
