Beautiful Mystery Flame-like Cat's Eye Marble, Mint, 5/8+

This is a beautiful and nicely colored marble. It is a bit over 5/8 inch, or about 21/32. We are listing it our cat's eye page, but it defies classification, and it looks very different from different angles. It consists of three parallel zip-zag streams of red, yellow, and white in crystal clear glass, but these steams separate into filaments and blend, especially on one surface, looking like flames. It was found with a collection of vintage marbles but could have been a more modern introduction. It has some similarities to some earlier U.S. made marbles, but it is more likely foreign made. Irrespective of the maker, it is not a common design, and will display nicely.
