1941 How-To-Get-There Pocket Directory Manhattan Bronx New York

This roughly 6 by 3-inch pocket directory consists of 160 pages, plus a fold out map that is 18 x 21 1/2 inches. Much of the directory is in a curious format largely consisting of directions to specific streets, typically from subway stops. It does have about 20 pages that lists the addresses of specific places like hospitals, consulates, churches, broadcast stations, swimming pools, night clubs, to name a few. The pages have some foxing, but the stapled spine is intact. This item was a well-used, and the map is in poor condition and has holes and separation at intersections and has been misfolded.
