Button Collecting

Button collecting has been a popular hobby for hundreds of years. Buttons can be collected by era, composition, style, theme, use, or historical importance. Military uniform buttons are perhaps the most avidly collected and studied category (especially Civil War era buttons), but there are numerous collectors and students of button history that fill every niche. Like all collectibles, age rarity, composition, beauty, and demand are all factors that define the price of buttons.
