Porcelain Santa Claus Figurine, 1930s Japan

This Santa Claus figurine is made of porcelain and cold painted. It has a mold mark on the back (S1496 or S/496), and is marked Japan on the base. Based on the design and look, it was probably made in the 1930s, but could be post World War II. Although this well loved Santa has lost most of its cold paint, it is still a nice old piece that will fit nicely into your Santa collection.
