This is an antique souvenir porcelain cup sold as a remembrance of a visit to Drogheda, Ireland. It reads "A present from Drogheda" in gold paint. The base is stamped Thuringia, which was a free state of Germany, and the cup probably dates to about 1920. It has no cracks, chips, or repairs, and the quality of the painting is typical of inexpensive tourist ware. It stands only 3 inches (7.5 cm) tall.
