Boston School Regiment Military Academy Staff Cuff Button

This is a cuff sized (about 1/2 inch) staff style uniform button of the Boston School Regiment, a 19th century military academy in Boston, MA. It features an intertwined BRS design. The button has nearly all its gilt, and the back mark reads John R. Farrel Boston. It probably dates to the 1880s or 1890. This is in Albert's 1976 catalog listed as SU43. This appears to be the staff uniform button (SU43B), as opposed to the cadet uniform button (SU43A). It will make a great addition to your collection.
