This lot of 18 of mostly 1981 Topps baseball cards featuring the Kansas City Royals. Included in the lot is #700 George Brett all-star rookie card that looks to be mint or nearly so with decent centering, and #1, Brett Buckner Batting Leaders. The other cards are most VG to NM. Please grade by the photos; you get the exact cards shown.
George Brett played 21 years, primarily as a third baseman, for the Kansas City Royals. He had 3,154 career hits, the second most by any third baseman in major league history and one of four players 3,000 hits, 300 home runs, and a career .300 batting average.
The Royals is in the American League Central division and was founded as an expansion franchise in 1969. The Team has participated in four World Series, winning in 1985 and 2015, and losing in 1980 and 2014.
