This fine porcelain china cup and saucer was made by Belleek Pottery Company of Fermanagh County, Ireland. This duo is part of their traditional shamrock with basket weave pattern dinnerware in fine translucent porcelain. The cup has the golden yellow luster glaze inside the bowl. Each piece has the fifth Belleek mark, which is also the second green mark, in use from 1955 to 1965. The saucer is 5 and 5/8 inches in diameter and the cup is just over 2 1/2 inches tall and is a bit under 3 1/2 inches in diameter (without the handle). These pieces are hand painted (underglaze), and you can see three tiny dots of green along the edge of the saucer (see close-up). There are variations in saucer size in the Belleek shamrock basket weave pattern in the company's different eras, so be sure to measure your set if matching it.
It has no cracks, chips, crazing or repairs, and no apparent wear. It will be carefully packed and shipped insured.
