Lenox China was founded as the Ceramic Art Company in 1889 in Trenton, New Jersey. In 1894, Walter Lenox purchased the company from his partner and renamed the business Lenox, Inc. The Lenox Company was initially operated with an art studio but expanded into high quality dinnerware lines. Lenox began production of crystal in 1965 when they bought Bryce Brothers of Pennsylvania.
