Giant Handmade Antique 2.5 in. Solid Core Marble

This marble is an antique handmade Solid Core type marble. It is a bit under 2.5 inches in diameter -- a rare size, and just about the largest antique handmade marble size able to be made without the marble deforming under its own weight. It has a white solid core, surrounded by a yellow Latticino net, with red and blue stripes (with white or yellow pinstripes) on the surface. The marble is filled with small air bubbles, and some bits and chunks of debris (a chunk of milky glass, and a white bit of material). It also has a few moons and tiny dings from being used, but there are no chips or significant damage. The surface has little wear or abrasions. It does have a few flat spots from the tooling instrument while it was molten. I would grade this marble, with its as-made features as near mint, or around 8.5.
