Potting Shed Dedham Rabbit Large Dinner Plate, 11 in. CH86

This is a Potting Shed dinner plate in the Dedham Rabbit design. It is a hard to find large size dinner plate which has a diameter of 11 1/8 inches. It is signed on the back USA CH86.

This crackle glaze piece was made by The Potting Shed company of West Concord, MA. The company formed in 1977 by Massachusetts pottery artists and fans of Dedham Pottery, famous for its crackle glaze, and which closed its factory in 1943. These pieces are artist signed.

In very good condition with no cracks or chips. It was used, and has very slight evidence of wear and has some faint brown staining including some light brown coloring of the the smallest glaze lines. Please note that Dedham pottery pieces have a lot of individuality and there are variations in the same designs among different artists and differing density of crackling.
