We are offering for one money these 15 mineral samples from an estate collection. They include a manganophyllite specimen (this mineral is called hendricksite today) from Vermland Sweeden, a cut geode half with druzy quartz, a nice clear chunk of quartz crystal, a "Fantasy Stone" from Bryce Canyon, Utah, a piece of red coral from the Mediterranean, Chalk from England, Yellow Ochre from Kelso California, and others.

Many of the specimens have old Grieger's labels with specimen impressed into and glued upon Styrofoam blocks. Grieger's was a Southern California mineral and lapidary company in business from the 1930s until it closed in the 1990s. Some specimens have no labels including a piece of basalt, a big white chunk of what looks like feldspar, a small piece of black mica, a fibrous mineral and others. The specimen with the loose tag that is labeled dendritic onyx may be mismatched or mislabeled. Some of the minerals have become detached from the Styrofoam. Samples will be individually packaged in bags to keep tags and specimens together. Buy these and some of our other lots to build a nice starter mineral collection at a reasonable price.
