Antique Gimlet, small wood hand drill auger 1/4 in. 19th Century

This is an antique gimlet. It is a small hand auger for drilling holes, in this case it is for cutting 1/4 inch holes. It is only 5 inches long. It has a beautiful original hardwood handle. The shaft is stamped with the manufacturer at the top. The name is worn but it looks like "?LAKEMO??": Perhaps BLAKE MO, or BLAKEMOR or LAKEMONT or CLAREMONT. It is worn, but is well made and solidly constructed, with a pleasing patina.
