Antique 12" Forged Brass Compass Divider Tool Carpenter Scribe

This is a nice antique pair of hand forged dividers. They are well made with brass tops and iron pins. From the pivot point to the tip they are 12 inches long, and have 14 inches total length when closed. They were well used but are undamaged and operate smoothly. Both thumb screws function well, with one locking the dividers open at the selected angle. No makers mark is evident. A tool like this might have been used by a carpenter, blacksmith, or shipwright.
