Peltier Glass Company Marbles
Peltier Glass Company made marbles from about 1927, to probably the late 1960s. They are best known for six major types of marbles: 1) slags, which generally have very fine feathering compared to other slags, 2) Miller Swirls, 3) "National Line Rainbos" which are ribbon marbles with often dramatic color combinations and which bring high prices, 4) "Rainbos" which some call "baseballs" because of the parallel wavy lines around their equator, 5) the Peerless Patch, which were also printed with comic characters in some sets, and 6) Peltier “Bananas”, often considered the first American cat’s eye marbles.
