Antique Poison Bottle Cobalt Blue 1 oz Vertical Ribs Stopper Top

This is an attractive small cobalt blue bottle. It stands about three inches tall, ribs on one side, and would have had a cork stopper. A cobalt with ribs indicates it would have contained a poisonous or potent substance, with the ribs meant to alert a person who might grab it out of a cabinet at night, to prevent mistaking it for some other bottle of medicine. This example is in very good condition, with no chips or cracks. There is a slight scratch on the back, and a little residue or stain inside that might be scrubbed out. It probably dates to the early 20th century. It displays well.
