We are offering for one money these 11 mineral samples from an estate collection. They include what I believe is a "Fantasy Stone" from Bryce Canyon, Utah(based on another lot), a piece of pyrite, Bauxite from Arkansas, Corundum from Tanzania, chalcedony rose, and a sulfur mineral.

Many of the specimens have old Grieger's labels with specimen impressed into and glued upon Styrofoam blocks. Grieger's was a Southern California mineral and lapidary company in business from the 1930s until it closed in the 1990s. Some specimens have no labels including what looks like a sulfur mineral, a piece of obsidian, pyrite, and an unpolished slab of agate. The blue mineral is not dyed agate, and I do not think it is turquoise either. Some of the minerals like the fluorite have become detached from the Styrofoam.

Samples will be individually packaged in bags to keep tags and specimens together. Buy these and some of our other lots to build a nice starter mineral collection at a reasonable price.
