For sale is this single home movie 3-inch film reel from the summer of 1963. It was shipped to Yvonne Husbands of Boston, MA. The Back side reads "Falmouth + Mashpee Indian Pow Wow" This size reel holds about 50 feet of film and runs 2 to 3 minutes. About 1/4 to 1/3 of the reel is the Mashpee Wampanoag Pow Wow, and the remainder is an African American family at a beach (probably Menauhant Beach in East Falmouth), with a brief segment of a woman standing in front of a home at the end. The frames shown were captured on a film scanner.

The plastic in the gray reel is somewhat degraded. The film condition and development seem fair to good, and the filming is average. There is a 1ft overexposed length of film between the Pow Wow. This reel would be of interest to someone looking at Cape Cod, Mashpee Wampanoag, or Falmouth history, and is worth converting to digital.
