Peltier Glass Company Rainbo Champion Jr Marble 19/32

This is a Rainbo type marble made by the Peltier Glass Company. It has a dark green bubbly glass base with a pair of orange ribbons on one pole, and none on the other. It would have been sold in a bag labeled Champion Jr Marbles. Block defined Peltier Champion Jr. marbles narrowly as having orange and yellow ribbon on green glass, but authentic bags of Champion Jr marbles are more diverse. It is likely that Peltier ribbon marbles with dark transparent glass were a common Peltier Jr. type. Peltier made toy marbles from the 1920s to 1950s, but their Champion Jr. marbles were likely made in the 1940s and 1950s.

This marble, is a bit less than 19/32 inch or a tad under the typical game marble size of 5/8 inch. The marble base glass is weakly UV fluorescent. It has some as made dimples and irregular folds, and shows light evidence of use and grades NM-.
