This is a vintage tie tack or lapel clip made by the costume jewelry firm Canterbury. These small lozenge size tie tacks were more common in the 1950s to early 1960s when ties were narrows. It features a hand-made fired porcelain cabochon of a soccer (football) player the letters CAN set in a gold wash brass setting (although most of the gold wash is worn off). Canterbury made tie tacks with other unusual designs, and this was likely a custom order. The best possible ACN football abbreviation match for this era is the Associazione Calcio Napoli (1926-1962; now SSC Napoli), but ACN might mean something else.
