Antique Stanley Rule Level Co. No. 15 Carpenter's Gunter's scale

This is antique Stanley Rule & Level Co. No. 15 cabinet makers or carpenter's folding rule with sliding Gunters Scale (an early and long used predecessor of the slide rule) It is a 2 foot, 2 fold rule and features brass edging and slide and lacquered boxwood construction, Gunter's scales, drafting scales. It was made from 1854 to 1915, is made of boxwood with brass bindings, and has a lacquered finish. This was a well used piece, and the brass and wood have some dings and marks, but it is undamaged, both pins present, and the scale is snug but slides smoothly. This is one of the rarer early Stanley Rules and will be a nice addition to your collection.
