Mara Stoneware Butterfly Mug, Art Pottery, 10 oz, Butterflies

This is a ceramic stoneware mug made by Mara. It has a square base and round top, and being made of stoneware, is rugged and heavy for its size, weighing about 1.5 pounds. It is about 4 inches tall, about 4.5 inches across at its widest, and holds a bit more than 10 ounces. This is a modern era piece, and is microwave, dishwasher and oven safe and its glaze is lead and cadmium free. The Mara cups are handmade, and their form and glaze are rustic, and each piece has variations. This example was used, but it has no cracks, chips, or damage.
