Duncan Miller Amberina Sandwich Glass Creamer and Sugar, HTF

This is a nice amberina colored open sugar and creamer in Duncan-Miller's pressed glass Sandwich pattern. It features a sawtooth edge and the lacy sandwich glass pattern. Most Duncan-Miller Sandwich pattern is seen in crystal, and occasionally ruby or amber. The amberina set appears HTF and may be somewhat rare. Duncan Miller went out of business in 1956, and some of their molds were sold and lines reissued in colors, and this could be the case in this piece. Because amberina requires the top of the glass to be reheated to get the two tone-effect, it is not often seen in bigger production pressed glass dinner sets, and probably few of these were made in amberina.

The set is in great shape with no cracks, chips, or damage and little evidence of use. If you collect amberina glass, vintage glass, or the Sandwich pattern, you will appreciate owning this set.
