Vintage Pink Murano Sugar Overshot Art Glass Plate

This is a vintage piece of Murano art glass. It is a pink overshot glass plate nearly 8 inches in diameter. Overshot is a technique of applied crush glass on a molten gather, then reheating and fusing the glass. In this case the crushed glass applied to the back side, and has the texture of sand or coarse sugar grains. On the back it has an applied foot of smooth glass to protect the table top. The glass has air bubbles, little specks of debris, and of course has a free-hand shape, but it has no cracks, chips or damage.
