This pink glass shaker was made by the Consolidated Lamp and Glass Company. The company made lamps shades, shakers, and other glass items from 1893 till its closing in the 1930s, with additional limited production from 1940s to 1967. This shaker probably dates to the company's earlier period, and was likely made around 1900-1920. The outside of the glass was acid-treated to give it a frosted appearance. The glass grades from a slightly darker on the bottom to lighter pink color on top. The coloring together with the frosted glass was probably meant to imitate Mt. Washington Glass Company's famous peachblow glass. The lid fits perfectly, but it is likely a replacement that probably dates to the 1940s or later. The lid has some corrosion on the inside, but is fully chromed on the outside. The threads on the glass mouth are stained from the metal corrosion on the metal lid and there are some small chips and roughage on the glass mouth, which is typical of these old pieces. The seams are hard to see, but it looks like it was made in a 4-part mold. If you collect old glass shakers, this is an old and hard to find example.
