This is a 1966 10 Shilling (Scilling) coin from Ireland. It commemorates the 50th Anniversary of the 1916 Easter Rising. The obverse features Padraig Pearse, an Irish teacher, barrister, poet, writer, nationalist, and political activist, who was one of the leaders of the Easter Rising in 1916. The reverse depicts a statue of CĂș Chulainn, an Irish mythological hero. The statue, designed by Oliver Sheppard, is set at the General Post Office, Dublin.
While this coin has some fine clash marks, it appears to grade About Uncirculated or better, with slight edge toning. This thick coin has a 30.5 mm diameter and features edge lettering. It weighs 18.144 g, with a silver purity of 0.833 Silver, for 0.486 troy ounce ASW. It is sold in the 2x2 holder as found.
